» Roots Of The Earth (CALAGNA ReVision)

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 22-09-25 15:17

Label: Desert Trax
Format: Digital
Genre: House

After bode's retrip of Roots Of The Earth, a calm meditative balm, its time for CALAGNA to take the track to the dance floor on Desert Trax. CALAGNA's take is tribal and shuffling. A zen-like trip to the inner consciousness. The vocals are intact and what is constructed around them is a more upbeat style; completely unlike bode's calm serenity.

Roots Of The Earth appeared on Shamen's Eye originally and was a chilled yoga track that facilitated breathwork and well-being. Mose remixed it for a ReGen album and it was further remixed on Lucid ReGen Remixes. CALAGNA's mix updates it for 2025 and showcases the willingness to explore different slants on Desert Trax wares.

Its a really good, well put-together, remix. But then, I like Desert Trax anyway so of course, I'm gonna like this.
